Sip and support at Winchester Royal Hotel

We are excited to announce our new partnership with the historic Winchester Royal Hotel.

This charming 16th-century hotel, located on St. Peter Street in the heart of Winchester, is now supporting our charity by donating 25p from every sale of its popular afternoon tea.

Enjoy afternoon tea in Winchester and support local arts

When you enjoy an afternoon tea at the Winchester Royal Hotel, you're not just treating yourself to a delightful experience — you're also supporting local arts and education.

The afternoon tea menu includes a variety of classic sandwiches, such as egg and cress and coronation chicken, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and an assortment of delicious sweets like coffee cake and mango cheesecake.

Guests can enjoy their tea in the hotel's award-winning restaurant or relax in the beautiful walled garden.

With every afternoon tea purchased, 25p goes directly to Play to the Crowd, helping us continue our vital work in the Winchester community.

Local businesses in Winchester supporting the arts

We are proud to have the Winchester Royal Hotel join other local Winchester businesses, such as Howden Insurance and the Wykeham Arms, in supporting Play to the Crowd.

Howden Insurance donates £25 for each sale or renewal of an insurance policy, and the Wykeham Arms contributes 25p with every sale of their popular Wyke Pie.

These partnerships are a fantastic example of how businesses in Winchester are giving back to the community and supporting arts and culture.

Linda Wilson and Keeley Dennyschene, from the Sales Team at Winchester Royal Hotel, shared their excitement about partnering with us:

"We're delighted to partner with Play to the Crowd and support the incredible work they do for arts and education in Winchester. Our hotel has a rich history in the heart of this beautiful city, and we’re proud to be able to give back to the community by contributing through our afternoon tea sales. Every guest enjoying our afternoon tea will be helping to nurture the creative and cultural vibrancy of Winchester, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of that."
